Kashif Jacob – Health, Safety Security and Environmental (HSSE) Team Lead
Mr. Kashif Jacob is a seasoned Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional with extensive experience in the development, implementation, and auditing of safety and quality management systems. In his current capacity as HSE Team lead at a leading security firm, he is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with both local legislation and international standards, including the OSH Act (2004, amended 2006), ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and the Safe TO Work (STOW) initiative.
He has served in an acting leadership capacity as Head of the HSEQ Department, where he successfully oversaw external audits, guided policy development, and led internal training and inspection programs across company sites. His ability to interface effectively with regulatory bodies and corporate clients’ alike positions him as a trusted representative in HSSE matters.
Mr. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Management (with a minor in Computer Science) from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. He is a PECB Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, an IRCA Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, and a NEBOSH International General Certificate holder in Occupational Health and Safety. His professional development is further supported by certifications in project management and environmental systems implementation.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Jacob has held key HSSE roles with organizations such as the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), the Trinidad & Tobago Meteorological Service, and various consulting engagements through Quality Plus Consultants. His work consistently reflects a high standard of diligence, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Mr. Jacob is also an active member of the Safety Council of Trinidad and Tobago, serving as its Public Relations Officer. He is committed to fostering safe and compliant working environments that align with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
